AutoCreaser Cracks Problem for Bridson & Horrox.

Leading Isle of Man printer, Bridson & Horrox, has solved what Production Manager, Simon Beck describes a ‘serious problem’ by installing a Morgana AutoCreaser.

Although the company’s main sphere of operation is producing quality colour print for leading financial institutions, the problem referred to came to light with the installation of a Xeikon digital press to produce short run colour and variable data work.

“Until we found the AutoCreaser” Simon Beck explains “ we couldn’t find the answer to folding digitally printed work without cracking – even though we did cutting and creasing in-house.” He found scoring ‘no good’ and attributes the success of the AutoCreaser to the fact that it applies pressure evenly along the whole length of the fold at the same time. “We use for everything from 115 to 300 gsm and it only takes 10 minutes to teach somebody how to operate it.”
