Case StudiesThe Transfer Function » Digifold - The Transfer FunctionTRANSFER FUNCTION UPGRADES TO DigiFold London digital printer The Transfer Function has taken delivery of a Morgana DigiFold to speed the finishing of output from its Indigo Platinum press. Having originally used a combination of a Morgana AutoCreaser and a Junior folder, director Asanga Karunadhara explained that the DigiFold offered a more efficient solution for the short run colour work that makes up the greater part of The Transfer Function’s business.  Photo shows Ajith (left) and Asanga Karunadhara with the Morgana DigiFold “In themselves, the individual creaser and folder were fine”, Asanga explains, “but having a unit that will perform both functions in a single pass makes more sense for us at this stage of our development.” A single unit also made sense from a space-saving point of view, although pressure on space will be relieved when the company moves shortly from its present premises off Goswell Road to another nearby. “We will also be installing an Indigo 5000 shortly” Asanga says, “so the DigiFold will help to ensure that our finishing capability is operating at optimum efficiency.”
