DigiFold Provides Maxim Finishing Power

Maxim Computer Graphics of Covent Garden has just installed a Morgana DigiFold creaser/folder to finish output from its HP Indigo 30/50 digital press.

Having successfully made the transition from repro house to digital printer 6 years ago, Maxim’s clients include advertising agencies, design studios and direct clients, all of whom demand quality work on a 24-hour turnaround. “Our work is nearly all short run colour”, explains Maxim’s m.d. Nigel Jackson, “but recently the short runs have become a bit longer – around 1,000 to 1,500 – so we needed more automation at the finishing end.”

Maxim is a long-term Morgana user, have purchased creasers, folders, guillotines and bookletmakers from them in the past. “We are going to hold on to our AutoCreaser and will continue to use it,” says Nigel Jackson “but the DigiFold’s ability to crease and fold in a single pass means less operator involvement as well as faster throughput.”
