A Flexible Finish for Paul Scott

Having built up a successful litho business using Heidelberg Speedmasters, Paul Scott Print of Sheffield expanded into digital print two years ago and the company’s HP Indigo 3050 now produces 20% of overall output.

With the digital press producing all the company’s short run colour work, Paul Scott found himself in a dilemma over finishing capability. “Despite having a very well appointed bindery section”, he says, “we found that most of our equipment just wasn’t suitable for finishing digital output.”

The solution was to install the multi-functional DocuMaster, from Morgana Systems. “For us”, Paul comments, “the basic appeal of the DocuMaster was its flexibility and versatility – it creases, creases and folds, creases, folds and stitches and will produce complete booklets with a square back finish that gives them the quality I was looking for.”

In addition to the DocuMaster, Paul Scott Print has also installed a Morgana CardXtra to speed throughput and add profitability to business card production.
