Case StudiesDocuMaster - Accent PrintACCENT ON DIGITAL FINISHING East Midlands based Accent Print has invested in a Morgana DocuMaster to finish work produced on its recently installed iGEN3. Situated between Nottingham and Derby, Accent’s Digital Print Division provides a comprehensive trade service offering high quality digital print and finishing across a broad spectrum of work, much of it incorporating variable data and images. The iGEN, which replaced two Xerox 5252s, has greatly improved both quality and turnaround times on both short and long runs. “Once we had the iGEN”, comments Accent’s m.d. Rhydian Pile, “the DocuMaster was essential as it can accept pre-collated work from the print engine and take it all the way through to finished booklets. Without it we would have had to separate covers and inner stock and perform individual creasing, and re-collating before bookletmaking, all of which would have taken more than twice as long.” The DocuMaster system installed at Accent incorporates the Morgana ‘Square Back System’, which enhances the quality of finished booklets by giving them a perfect bound appearance. Other Morgana equipment supplied to Accent by Morgana includes a Major folder and an EBA 551LT programmatic guillotine.
