DocuMaster Opens New Markets for KnowledgePoint
 
Knowledge Point DocuMasterKnowledgePoint, the top provider of training materials for the IT industry, has augmented its finishing capability by installing a Morgana DocuMaster at its Reading headquarters. As the company looks to grow by 20% following a recent re-branding, the DocuMaster will play its part by helping KnowledgePoint to increase production of marketing and sales material.
 
Founded in 1997, KnowledgePoint’s core business lies in the design and production of training materials for training companies and corporates in the IT market. Output – short run and usually wire bound - is produced on a battery of Xerox/Oce mono and Xerox colour print engines. Volumes are impressive, with over 100,000 manuals produced on demand each month from courses provided by a broad-based clientele.
 
KnowledgePoint’s rapid growth has boosted turnover to £7 million and co-founders and directors Andre Philpot and Paul Gibbons have identified the production of marketing collateral as an important growth area for the future. “The emphasis here”, comments Philpot, “is very much on colour combined with a highly professional finish.” The DocuMaster is an integral part of this, operating near-line to produce high quality saddle-stitched booklets with a ‘square back’ finish and providing a flexible and easy to use finishing system that can take work from more than one print engine at a time.
