A new Morgana DigiFold 5000P creaser/folder is helping leading London digital printer Face Creative Services to improve its service to customers across a broad range of work.

 

“It’s all about speed”, states Production Director Colin Harding. “We have to finish output from two 5-colour Xeikon and two 6-colour HP Indigo presses, consisting of short runs and a variety of different types of work which means that we need to be both fast and flexible.”

 

Face Creative Services previously had an earlier model DigiFold, as well as other Morgana equipment, but at 5000 creases per hour, the new 5000P model is almost four times faster. The extra speed stems from a new creasing method developed by Morgana called DynaCrease, which also gives Face Creative the ability to make 9 creases on 9 sheets in 9 seconds.

 

The ability to take a larger sheet size – 700 x 385mm – was also important to Face Creative, as was the built-in perforating capability. “When not working as an integrated creaser/folder”, Colin Harding comments, “we can use the DigiFold as a stand alone creaser or perforator.”
