A major innovation from Nagel is the “Digital Flexo Cut” Machine DFC offering various applications such as cutting, kiss-cutting, embossing and perforating which have until today only been possible inline with sheet-fed offset presses. The DFC is a stand alone machine which has all advantages of the inline technology but gives the user a full flexibility on different formats and materials, even on small runs.
The working principle is based on a high quality magnetic cylinder and flexible dies. The outstanding magnetic attraction characteristics of the cylinder allow the flexible dies to be mounted rapidly and securely, ensuring excellent cutting quality. The flexible dies get tailored according to individual customer’s requirements.
Any material like paper, foil, cardboard, PE-materials etc. up to max. 450 gsm can be handled. The feeder can be refilled while the machine is in operation. The maximum speed on all formats is up to 2000 sheets per hour.
Due to its short set-up time, the DFC is particularly suited for small, medium and frequently changing running lengths in digital or offset printing. Its versatility enables the print shops to process even highly specialized jobs at a profit.
